The 2d and 3d Volumes of the Bibliotheca Historia Naturalis Banksiana are now just published, and as there are but 100 copies sold, I have secured them both for you.  The 1st Vol. will not come out till next Winter.

I do not know how to express myself on the First Fascicules of your Eclogae Americanae, which I found at Whites — Indeed my Dear Sir, you have made me ashamed of myself and conferred too many honours on shoulders unequal to bear them —- in the long letter I wrote to you from Ste Croix, I have already expressed my sentiments on this subject.  But there is one Point which you will permit me now to explain.  I am sensible this work will occasion you considerable expense, and I do not think it fair in me, to put you to the charge of it.  I hope you will therefore suffer me to bear my part in it, and to guarantee you against any loss whatever in the Publication —- 

I own I could wish to see more Plates, not only of mine, but also of my dear and ever lamented Von Rohr, to whose Memory I wish the most ample Justice to be done —--

May I beg the favor of an early answer, and that you will be kind enough to communicate to me the state of the Work at present, and I will come forward immediately, if you will permit me, to assist in finding employment for the Painter and Engraver —

[Sir Josep]h Banks, Mr Corran and Dryander a[?]et Bucida to be of the same Genus with Terminalia, I wish to know if the Cotyladonas are Convoluti in the Bucida Capitata.  Ecl:Americ: Tab: 8 – please to aquaint me, as I have no seeds here —
